Dave & I got to take a trip (without the kids) to the beautiful island of Oahu! We dropped the kids off at Dave's sister's place in WA for 6 days. We went with his parents, they were kind of our tour guides!
We flew out on a Saturday afternoon & that night Connie (mom-in-law) & I went to see Mama Mia. The next day we went to church & that ward had the friendliest people I've ever met. After church we went to Pearl Harbor. Talk about a peaceful place. It still saddens me about what happened & walking over the Arizona. 
We did a lot of snorkeling. We saw tons of colorful fish & we got to swim with big turtles. We saw dolphins off in the distance. I couldn't keep Dave out of the water! We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center. That was a lot of fun. I actually had to get up on stage & dance!
We did a small hike up to a small waterfall. It was a beautiful sight! The island would be a dry desert on one side & a wet rain forest on the other. The trees were crazy looking! And the flowers were so colorful & bright!! 
It was wonderful weather & I loved seeing all the different bays Oahu had to offer. We didn't get to all the bays, so I guess we have to make another trip out there in a few years!
Dave & I must have been to Oahu in another life, because they have a store that was just up our alley!! That or we finally figured out where we REALLY came from. 
Thank you Kara for taking such good care of our kids!! We owe you huge! Thank you Dave for taking me on a 2nd Honeymoon!! I love you lots!!
