Baby Doll Turns 9!!!

Our little baby doll turned 9 over the weekend. It seems like only yesterday that she was a 'not so happy baby' to a little lady that can make you laugh til you pee your pants! Her laugh is so contagious!

We celebrated her big day by inviting some of her friends over for a birthday breakfast! We had cinnamon rolls, sausage, & scrambled eggs. Talk about a fun group of kids she hangs out with!

For some reason the night before I was watching a movie until 2am , Dave's alarm clock went off at 6am, & the party started at 9am. A word to the wise, get more than 4 hours of sleep if you plan on having a party in the morning!It was a really fun time though!

Holy Big Christmas Tree

We put up our tree the other night. Can we say BIG?! It's about a 14' tree. We had so much fun decorating it. Getting up on the ladder to put the ornaments on. Oh how I love the tree & the pine smell it fills the house with. It really will put anyone in the Christmas spirit!

1st Day of School

'Twas the night before school

And all through the place,

Not a smile was seen

On any kids face.

Our bags were all stuffed

With our notebooks brand new,

And rulers and pencils,

All crawled into bed

The “good life” was dead.

Then Mom came in whistling

And kissed us goodnight,

With a bright cheery voice

That didn’t seem right.

The night dragged on slowly

I just couldn’t sleep,

For fears that my math teacher

Would be a real creep.

Or maybe a bully

Would give me a shove,

Or even more evil things

Than I could think of.

When in from the next room

There arose such a clatter.

My Mom yelled, I’M FREE

I’m free ‘til next summer!

This must be a plot

By conspiring Moms,

Who just want a break

To experience “calm”.

Oh, must I go through it?!

How can I go on?

I want to escape

Run off to Saigon!

Nine months is too long

To suffer through school,

The classes so rough

And teachers who are cruel.

Swim Camp 2010

Swim camp: $170

Food for the week: $70

Watching kids learn how to be better swimmers and getting really water logged, sharing a camper with a dozen or so kids & a couple moms, getting puked on twice, washing hair and shaving legs in a bathroom sink because the 1 shower that doesn't work too well has a line if 10 girls, having a spa day and getting your hair washed in cold hose water and your nails painted by 3 & 5 year olds, cramming into Jaci's truck to go on a 20 minute hike to look for a log cabin that took over an hour because we passed it. . . twice, having a really good looking guy deliver pizzas that he strapped onto a motorcycle and the pizzas got smashed: Priceless

There are some things in life money can buy~ for everything else there's chaotic fun!

Air Show 2010

Every Father's Day weekend we go to an Air Show in Rexburg. So guess where we went for Father's Day? What we didn't know was that the Air Show was canceled this year due to the Air Show that will be held in Idaho Falls in July. It wasn't a waste of a trip though. We got to go to the Air Museum & get a look at some of the other hangers that aren't included in the tour. The girls & Gavin got to go up in an airplane. The girls actually got to fly the plane. Gavin chickened out going up. I'm jealous that I didn't get to go up.

My Baby Boy Turns 5

Gavin turned 5 today! Yes, you read that right, my baby boy is 5! Last week he informed me that he wanted to have a birthday party . . . but NOT at the pool house. He also didn't want to invite any girls, since the only girl he liked moved down to Utah.

I figured he's never had a party, so we can go where ever he wanted to go. We ended up going to Leo's Place with a few of his friends! We had so much fun playing on the toys, playing games, & of course, eating!!

I would have posted pictures, but I was in a hurry to get out of the house that I forgot my camera. So Dave had to stop and get a disposable one on his way there from work. I'll try to remember to scan some pictures and post them. Before Leo's we met up with Christy, Kara, and the kids at Artic Circle and took Ashley to get her hair cut. I ended up running out of time to make cup cakes, so I had to stop at the grocery store on the way to get a cake.

He will also start Kindergarten in the fall! He asked me what I'm going to do while he's at school & if I'm going to miss him. I told him that I'll be strong & try not to cry. He then called me a baby if I cry! What am I going to do with all 3 kids in school?!

Ashley Turns the Big 1-0

Today at 5:05pm Ashley came into the world! I remember like it was yesterday. She thinks it's funny because her actual due date was May 24, 2000. I told her she was being a stubborn baby & didn't want to come out. She weighed 6 lbs 11 oz & was 19 in long.
Now she weighs 49 lbs & is 4 ft 2 in. She's a foot shorter than I am. She must me getting taller or I'm getting shorter.

We had a swimming party for her last Saturday. That was a lot of fun! I love watching her interact with all her friends! We all had a blast eating hotdogs, chips, & juice. I put on 1 trick candle on her cookie cake, all the kids though that was pretty funny.

Tonight she wanted to eat at Garcia's because she gets to wear a big sombrero & they would sing Happy Birthday to her. She got a free huge scoop of fried ice cream with chocolate sauce & tons of whipped cream. It was so yummy!

I can't believe that my baby Ash is 10! Where has the past 10 years gone?! She sure is growing up to be a beautiful girl! Don't you agree?!

My Lil' Ballerinas

Ashley & Natalie were in their 1st ballet recital. They had so much fun & did a great job! I'm so proud of my little ballerinas!!

My New Life

Ashley Has a New Smile!

I'm officially old! Ashley got braces last week. She was so excited to be the 1st one on our family to have braces. She'll think they're cool now, but wait til she can't have lots of candy, pop, & and only have sugar free gum.

There's more to braces than I thought. About a month or so ago she had a funny bracket in the roof of her mouth that I had to turn every night to stretch out her teeth. She had a big space between her two front teeth. She liked it because she could stick her tongue between them.

She was such a brave little girl. She looks so grown-up now!

Snow Day in April???

I woke up Tuesday morning, got the girls all ready for school, and left to take them to school. We pulled up to the parking lot & there were no cars . . . just to find out that school was cancelled! So we came back home and tried to shovel the driveway, but the snow was too heavy to shovel & too deep for the snow blower. We decided to play in the snow instead!

Hoppy Easter

Easter this year was a lot of fun! Too bad the Easter Egg Hunt we were planning on going to Saturday morning was cancelled due to the cold windy Idaho weather. Yes, that is snow you see in the pictures!

We went down to Blackfoot to spend it with the Jensen family. The kids had a blast playing with their cousins, eating, & finding eggs! Dave had fun finding his Easter basket too! He looked like a little kid!

We got to listen to Conference too. There were some really good talks! I love listening to Conference & feeling the Spirit!

OUCH!!!

I'm doing the P90X workouts. I can tell you how it is in 1 word . . . OUCH!!! My kids wanted to do the stretching. I put it on for them & they actually did the full hour of it. May I add, in between the moves they would grab a handful of chips & drink some pop! They were so cute doing it!

I do a workout and I'm sweaty & smelly. They watch me & cheer me on. I didn't know I had little cheerleaders to cheer me on while exercising! Then again, they look at me, they look at the TV, & tell me that I'm doing it wrong.

I wish I could eat like a kid again. Oh the joys of getting older;)

What a Bunch of Egg Heads

Dave asked me if I had a permanent marker, I told him that I did, & asked why. He wouldn't tell me why. Dave + a permanent marker = trouble! So I gave him the marker & I started to watch TV in our bedroom. He told me not to come out of the room. A few minutes later the kids came into the room & asked if I'd make them some scrambled eggs. I was thinking, why would they want scrambled eggs, we just ate, and they don't care too much for them. So I went into the kitchen, got the eggs out of the fridge, & this is what I found! Now I know why Dave needed the marker. They sure made my day! Now when I look at the eggs, I'll always think of my wonderful family! Dave & the kids always find little ways to make me smile! Love you guys!!

Road Trip

Dave & I went to Las Vegas over the weekend with 4 other couples. We spent 2 days in Vegas & then took Harley's down to Phoenix for Supercross! It was way fun! Friday the girls had a day at the spa. I've never had a facial or a massage, it was so nice & relaxing!
